With Haunted Marmite, Anwtwan Horfee invites viewers into an otherwise private practice. Collected are drawings completed in parallel to the Parisian artist's studio work. These form intertwined stories by transforming lines and objects, and present without pressure to reach an accessible scene. "It is also to tell something uncertain, something subtle, rare and precious," says Horfee.

The new individually screen-printed edition of 100 is produced in reference to the Futuropolis 30x40 editions. As such, each edition of Haunted Marmite promises a rare engagement with artist and craftsman. Horfee describes it as "gourmet entertainment," an allowance to relish in the artist's pleasures — even if expensive, strange and rare.

“I love crafts. I love the benefits and just as much the harm done. I love the fingerprints and also the fact that there is no plastic packaging. I love staples folded too hard and I also love that people understand that it was me who cut, folded and printed with my loved ones while listening to music. You have to check the books one by one," says Horfee.

The process behind Haunted Marmite — focused on the page cut, the stapling, the printing, and more — honors hand craft and all its idiosyncrasies. “It seems important to me when you have the devouring passion to make books to continue to do everything by hand," says Horfee. "The artist edition is nothing but an edition without any censorship. The author animates what he wants in form, he puts what he wants in content, and can follow a traditional format as well as be completely experimental and adventurous."
